Practical information
On this excursion, you'll depart from the kennel in Kittilä near Levi and embark on a 5 km (3 mi) self-drive dog sledding trip in Finnish Lapland.
- Arrive at the kennel in Kittilä (or pick-up from Levi, please specify when booking)
- Meet the guide and the huskies
- Safety briefing and driving instructions
- The self-drive dog sledding adventure begins!
- Drive your own team of dogs through the wilderness (approximately 5 km / 3 mi)
- Return to the kennel
- Interact with the dogs
- Enjoy hot drinks and snacks
- Return drive to the pick-up point in Levi (if selected)
To drive the sled, participants must be over 18 years old, in good physical condition, and have no mobility limits.
The sled can usually hold two participants, one driver and one passenger. Smaller additional children may fit on the sled, the seating arrangement will be decided on the spot by the guide.
If you are travelling solo or have an odd number of adults in your group, you may share the sled with other guests. If you wish to drive the sled by yourself, please select the 'Adult (solo drive)' option when booking.
Transfer to and from Levi is included (Levi Info, Myllyjoentie 2, 99130 Sirkka, Finland). Please specify when booking if you would like to be picked up from here.
