Practical information

On this excursion, you'll depart from Rovaniemi and embark on a canoe trip in Finnish Lapland. This full-day option is 7 hours.

Course of events

Arrive at the starting point in Rovaniemi (or pick-up from your accommodation, please specify when booking)
Meet the guide
Transfer to the river outside the city
Receive equipment (canoe, paddle, life jacket, dry bag)
Safety briefing and paddling instructions
The full-day canoeing adventure begins!
Paddle along the waters
Stop for a break
Enjoy snacks and hot drinks around a campfire
Paddle back to the start
Return transfer to the original starting point in Rovaniemi

Total paddling distance: approximately 12-15 km / 7-9 mi

Activity requirements

This tour is not recommended for pregnant people, non-swimmers or those with back issues.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This option is slightly more challenging, if you are travelling with children under 10 years old, it is recommended to join the half-day option.

Special terms

Pick-up/drop-off from accommodations within an 8 km (5 mi) distance of Rovaniemi city centre is included. Please specify your location when booking.

Each canoe can hold up to 2 adults and 1 child. Participants will steer their own canoe.
