Practical information
An accessible 2-hour rafting trip on the Jacques-Cartier river.
- Welcome to the Expéditions Nouvelle Vague base in Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, only 35 minutes' drive from Quebec City.
- Administrative formalities (participation form, etc.), presentation of the activity and explanation of the risk acceptance form.
- Equipment, then bus transport to the raft launch point
- Briefing on basic rafting techniques and a short practical exercise
- Depart for a 2-hour rafting trip down the Jacques-Cartier (level I rapids), including a snack break on the water halfway down the course.
- Return to the base by bus, de-equipping with shower facilities and end of the activity.
A minimum of 4 participants is required for the activity to take place.
Cotton clothing is not recommended.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people.
Pets are not allowed to take part in this activity.

- 3 or 5mm isothermal neoprene overalls, depending on the temperature
