A 3-hour horseback ride along the beaches of the Walker Bay Nature Reserve in Stanford: this ride is reserved for riders who are comfortable trotting.
Course of events
Please plan to spend half a day on site.
- Meeting with the guide at the Ou Meul bakery in Stanford (cloakrooms and toilets available)
- Briefing on the course of the activity
- 4 km drive with the guide to the starting point of the ride
- Allocation of a horse to each rider (the horses are already prepared for you)
- Briefing on the safety instructions
- Once in the saddle, start of the 3-hour horseback ride along the beaches of Walker Bay Nature Reserve
- Return to the starting point of the ride at around 1.30 p.m. and end of the activity (you can return to the bakery if you need to)
Activity requirements
Maximum weight: 220 lbs / 100 kg
All participants need to know how to ride a horse and be comfortable trotting to take part in this activity.
Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity, as the 3 hours on horseback, mainly at a trot, can be exhausting for people who do not practise sport regularly.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Special terms
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people and disabled people.
Accompanying persons who do not ride will not be able to reach the site of the ride.
