Practical information

Would you like to experience the real sled dog experience near Montreal? Choose the "immersion" option with a guide on board your sled (you can drive the sled if you wish)!

This option must be booked if you are severely overweight, elderly or participating alone.

Course of events

Please allow 2 hours in total for this activity, including a 1-hour dog-sled ride.

  • Meet your musher guide 30 minutes before the appointment time
  • Meet the dogs
  • Go for a 1-hour dogsled excursion. You'll discover magnificent mountain and snowy trails, and spend 1 hour in the forest of tall fir trees, typical of Quebec. You'll also cross the frozen beaver lake. Pure pleasure!
  • Arrive back to the kennel
  • Visit the kennel
Activity requirements

Minimum driver age: 18 years old

The person driving the sled must be able to stand with their hands on the sled behind the basket and use their foot to brake to slow down the dogs. ⚠️ Choosing to drive a sled implies a responsibility: if your driving is dangerous and puts your safety or that of the dogs at risk, or if the sled breaks down, the guide reserves the right to stop the activity for the good of everyone, including your passenger. If in doubt, opt for the driver-guide option.

Physical ability required: hiking in the mountains with ascents and descents.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the activity: any delay will result in the loss of the activity, without compensation.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people.

If you wish, you can hire cold-weather gear (mittens, coat, trousers and boots) on site for an extra $20.

A return shuttle transfer from Montreal to the meeting place is available: the cost is $100 + tax per person (a minimum of 2 people is required for transport).
