Book your activity
Practical information
Take your first dog sled ride near Montreal and discover this fascinating discipline with a guide on board your sled (you can drive the sled if you wish)!
This option must be booked if you are overweight, elderly or participating alone.
Please allow 30 to 40 minutes in total for this activity, including a 10-minute dog sled ride.
- Meet your musher guide 30 minutes before the appointment time
- Introduction to the sled dog discipline
- Meet the dogs
- 10-minute dog sledding excursion along a 2km (1.2 miles) path that follows the shoreline of frozen Lake Morency
- Arrive back to the kennel
Minimum driver age: 18 years old
The person driving the sled must be able to stand with their hands on the sled behind the basket and use their foot to brake to slow down the dogs. ⚠️ Choosing to drive a sled implies a responsibility: if your driving is dangerous and puts your safety or that of the dogs at risk, or if the sled breaks down, the guide reserves the right to stop the activity for the good of everyone, including your passenger. If in doubt, opt for the driver-guide option.
Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the activity: any delay will result in the loss of the activity, without compensation.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please let us know if you are significantly overweight.
This option is accessible to pregnant people and disabled people.
If you wish, you can hire cold-weather gear (mittens, coat, trousers and boots) on site for an extra $20.
A return shuttle transfer from Montreal to the meeting place is available: the cost is $100 + tax per person (a minimum of 2 people is required for transport).
