- Hop on the jeep and start your 8-hour tour around the Achada Plateau and visit:
- The largest lava tube in Portugal
- Volcanic caves
- Lagoons of Achada Plateau
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Return to the meeting point
- Descend from the jeep and end of activity
Please arrive at the meeting point 5 to 10 minutes before departure time.
People with claustrophobia might find it difficult to take part in this tour as the caves have tight access and inside some of them, participants will have to crawl.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
You should have a relatively good physical condition to participate in this activity. If any of the participants of the group have physical restrictions, especially in the lower limbs, claustrophobia, asthma problems, respiratory sensitivity, diabetes, or any other type of health limitations, please inform your instructors in advance. Participants with a sedentary lifestyle might find this activity a little demanding. For adults over 65 years old and who are not used to practicing physical activities, Tripix Azores reserves the right to advise a different tour.
Please let your instructor know about any food restrictions or allergies to organize your lunch during the tour.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity are weather-dependent.
This tour takes place in nature, and for that reason some stops don’t have proper toilets available.
This activity is not recommended for disabled people.
