Practical information

A dog sledding excursion in Rivière-Rouge, lasting about 1 hour, on trails through the heart of the boreal forest.

Course of events

- Meeting with the guide at Expédition Hautes-Laurentides base, 15 minutes before the start of the activity

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Composition of the sleds by the guides (1 driver + 1 to 2 passengers per sled)

- Departure for a 1-hour dog sled ride in Rivière-Rouge

- Return to the base, visit of the kennel and debriefing around a campfire to end the activity

Activity requirements

Maximum weight: 400 lbs (181 kg) per sled

Minimum weight required to drive the sled: 90 lbs (41 kg)

Participants weighing over 250 lbs/113 kg must book x1 “Solo” and ride alone on a sled driven by a guide.

All children must be accompanied by an adult on board the sled.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.

Special terms

This activity is not accessible to pregnant people or people with reduced mobility.

Pets are not permitted to come on site.
