Practical information

A dog sledding excursion in Rivière-Rouge, lasting about 1 hour, on hilly wooded trails.

Course of events

- Meeting with the guide at Aventure Quatre Saisons base

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions in the yurt

- Composition of the sleds by the guides (1 driver + 1 to 2 passengers per sled)

- Helmets fitted and introduction to dogsled driving

- Departure for a 1-hour dog sled ride in Rivière-Rouge, with the possibility for drivers and passengers to change places midway during a 5-minute break

- Return to the base, spend a moment with the dogs to thank them, then debrief the ride over hot chocolate and cookies in a yurt to end the activity

Activity requirements

Maximum weight: 250 lbs (113 kg) per person / 450 lbs (204 kg) per sled

Children under the age of 14 or 90 lbs (41 kg) must be accompanied by an adult who will drive the sled.

Children aged 3 to 11 must ride in the guide's sled.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.

Special terms

This activity is not accessible to pregnant people and people with reduced mobility.

Pets are not permitted to come on site.

A maximum of 2 children aged between 3 and 11 is accepted per outing.
