Course of events

Please allow a full day for this activity. Departure will be in the early afternoon and return late the next morning, with an effective walking time of 1 hour excluding the breaks.

  • Meeting point to be determined (Pays de la Meije sector).
  • You will be briefed by your experienced guide on the planned itinerary and safety instructions.
  • Departure for an exploration of the Meije region (1 hour's hike).
  • Discover the natural and human environment with your enthusiastic guide.
  • Build an igloo (2h30).
  • Your guide prepares dinner.
  • A short stroll to watch the sun set.
  • Hot drinks.
  • Night in an igloo.
  • Return to the starting point (2-hour hike).
Activity requirements

Participants should be able to complete a hike with an ascent of around 100 metres.

A minimum of 4 participants is required for the activity to take place.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult to take part.


Special terms

We recommend that you take out personal accident insurance covering mountain sports at any altitude.

Don't forget to let us know if you are receiving any special treatment and/or are under medical supervision.

People with motor, mental/psychic or cognitive disabilities, infants and pets are not allowed to take part in this activity.
