Practical information

A 12 minute long paragliding flight from a 6500 ft/1981m high launch point on Mount Haleakala, with a 3,000 ft/ 914m descent.

Course of events

-Meet instructors at meeting point

-Drive from meeting point up the side of Mount Haleakala to launch point

-Safety and activity briefing

-Get equipped

-Take a few running steps and start flying

-12 minutes of paragliding

-Landing

-Debrief and de-equip

-End of activity

Special terms

The weight limit is 250 pounds/113 kg.

Driving instrutions: Set your GPS destination to “ALII KULA LAVENDER FARM” which is 100 yards past the meeting point. When you get close you will see the Paraglide Maui signs and flags. Drive up “Waipoli Rd.” for 1.3 miles. Please park in the gravel parking area near the trees. If you think you are lost, call +1 808-874-5433.

Meeting point:
100 yards before Alii Kula Lavender Farm -- you will see the Paraglide Maui flags and red umbrella signalling your destination.
