Practical information
6 hour moderate to difficult hike, with slight exposure to heights. The tour begins with an ascent to Skeleton Gorge and then heads up Maclear’s Beacon to the highest point on Table Mountain. The descent is via cable car.

The weather on the mountains can change unexpectedly and sudden drops in temperature are common. It is suggested to wear clothing that prevents sunburn on hot, sunny days, and to wear layers according to the weather.
During the cableway maintenance closure period an additional tariff based off of the one-way cableway ticket per person is charged, if the hiking route involves descending Table Mountain on foot.
