Practical information

Course of events

- Arrival at the Camp Tamok meeting point in Tamok Valley (please arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time)

- Meet your experienced instructor

- Receive your gear (thermal suit, winter boots, hat, and mittens)

- Introduction to dog sledding and dog sled driving techniques

- Meet your husky team

- The adventure begins!

- Dog sledding in the Norwegian wilderness (1.5 hours)

- Break

- Switch drivers

- Return to the original departure point at Camp Tamok

- Cuddle time with this huskies

- Hot meal and warm beverages with a cracking fire

- Say goodbye to your new four-legged friends!

Activity requirements

Please be advised that this activity is not suitable for pregnant people or those with health concerns.

In addition, each participant cannot exceed 120 kg (264 lbs).

Special terms

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time. For this activity, you need to make your way to the camp in Tamok Valley, transportation from Tromsø is not included.

This excursion's difficulty level is labelled as 'advanced', meaning that it requires both strength and a good level of physical fitness. Some parts of the terrain are uphill and participants must help the dogs to push the sled.

The total time spent dog sledding is approximately 1.5 hours.

This excursion includes 2 people per sled, each taking a turn driving.
