Practical information
On this excursion, you'll depart from the Fonna Glacier Ski Resort and embark on a glacier hike at the Folgefonna National Park.
Course of events
- Arrive at the starting point at Fonna Glacier Ski Resort
- Meet the experienced guide and receive the equipment (mountain boots, crampons, ice axe, harness, helm, and rope)
- Safety briefing and instructions
- The glacier hiking adventure begins!
- Hike through the Folgefonna National Park
- Stop for lunch break
- Hike back to the starting point at Fonna Glacier Ski Resort
Total hiking distance: approximately 3-4 km / 2-2.5 mi
Activity requirements
All participants must be in good health condition.
Children must have authorised permission from an adult.
