Practical information
- Meeting in the Clube Naval de Porto de Abrigo with the instructors.
- Initial briefing given by the marine biologist guide on safety procedures on board and life jackets are provided. Also a description of the trip, such as duration, itinerary, what to expect, characteristics of the marine protected area (Marine Park of Professor Luiz Saldanha, inserted in the Arrabida Natural Park), its ecosystems and the species that live and migrate there.
- Start of the boat tour and look for marine life (dolphins, whales, birds and other less common species such as sharks, sunfish, tuna or swordfish). Once spotted it, you will observe their wild, natural behaviour and the marine biologist will give a live report on your observations. Plenty time to watch and ask all the questions and fun
- Then time for a little coastal exploration, you'll see some caves and wild beaches. Also time for swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Park.
- Debrief of the experience and return to the starting point (harbour).
Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.
There's a free parking lot right next to the meeting point where you can easily park a car.
