Practical information

Green trails are easy level trails suitable for beginners in good health with basic bike skills using any type of bike.

Green trails are relatively flat & wide.

Blue trails are moderate level trails suitable for riders in good health with basic off-road riding skills using basic mountain bikes.

Blue trails have some “single-track” sections (narrow path, usually just wide enough to pass one bike at a time) & small obstacles of root & rock.

Objectives

- More safety on the bike

- Understanding of basic techniques and safe riding on green and blue trails

The MTB course will be adapted to your level.

The trails used during the course are the following ones :

- Practice area

- Pump track (looping track, with bumps and banked bends)

- Green and blue trails

During this initiation to MTB you will be able to learn :

- Bike setup - riding position and damping

- Proper mounting and dismounting

- Braking techniques - safe and low-wear

- Lift-assisted blue trails

- Cornering technique - large and small radii

- Positioning and eye tracking

Activity requirements

All participants must know how to bike safely on forest roads to take part in this course.

A minimum number of 3 participants is required to run this course.

Special terms

The course also takes place in April without the lift. Trails near the valley are used.
