Course of events

- Pick up from specific accommodations in Longyearbyen (please check the list and specify when booking)

- Meet your experienced instructor

- Safety and itinerary briefing

- Receive your gear (thermal suit, boots, mittens, goggles, boots, balaclava, and helmet)

- Introduction to snowmobiling and snowmobile driving techniques

- The adventure begins!

- Drive to Advent Valley

- Northern Lights Station stop

- Operafjellet Mountain stop

- Arrival at Advent Lodge

- Snack and hot drink break in a warm cabin

- Return to the original departure point in Longyearbyen

- Transfer back to your accommodations

Activity requirements

All snowmobile drivers must present a valid driver's license and must be able to speak and understand English or a Scandinavian language.

Please be advised that this snowmobile tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with back problems.

In addition, all passengers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wool underlayers and thick sweaters are strongly recommended for this snowmobiling excursion.

A minimum of 2 snowmobile drivers is required to run this tour.

Special terms

For safety reasons, the travel itinerary may be subject to change due to weather and wind conditions.

In addition, since wildlife and the Northern Lights are unpredictable, their presence is never guaranteed.

Please note that guides in Svalbard are armed for safety reasons since the archipelago is inhabited by polar bears.
