Practical information

Rafting on the Sunwapta River without pickup.

Course of events

- Arrival at the starting point and meeting with the guides

- Explanation of the activity, loan of equipment

- Safety briefing and departure for 1 hour 15 minutes of rafting on the Sunwapta River

- Passage through calm sections of class I water and turbulent sections of class II and class III white water as well as the Whopper

- Transfer to your car and end of the activity

Activity requirements

To take part in this activity, participants must be comfortable in the water. Knowing how to swim is not compulsory, but all participants will get wet.

Please arrive 15min before the start of the activity.

Waivers must be signed to participate and can be done digitally on arrival.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

You can leave your personal belongings in your car, or take them with you in a backpack.

If you wish, you can buy the photos (5 to 8 shots) of your activity online via PicThrive at the end of your activity for an extra $40 ($20 for just 2 photos): the photos are taken at the start of the activity and during one of the biggest splashes on the course, and will be shown to you on your IPad at the end of the experience.

Meeting point:
The Self-Drive pickup location is the Highway 93 rest stop located 300m south of the Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge. There is a newly constructed, fenced-in utility shed at the turnoff for this rest stop.
