Practical information
Rafting down the canyon section of the Athabasca River, at the foot of Athabasca Falls: this section of the river is full of adrenalin, with Class II rapids and breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks and forests of Jasper National Park
- Arrive at the starting point and meet the guides
- Explanation of the activity, loan of equipment
- 20-minute bus transfer to Athabasca Falls
- Safety briefing and 1.25-hour rafting descent
- The first half of your adventure will be spent between the imposing canyon walls at the foot of the Athabasca Falls before entering the valley of the Athabasca River
- 20-minute bus transfer back to Jasper and end of the activity
To take part in this activity, participants must be comfortable in the water. Knowing how to swim is not compulsory, but all participants will get wet.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
Waivers must be signed to participate and can be done digitally on arrival.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
You can leave your personal belongings on the bus, or take them with you in a backpack.
If you wish, you can buy the photos (5 to 8 shots) of your activity online via PicThrive at the end of your activity for an extra $40 ($20 for just 2 photos): the photos are taken at the start of the activity and during one of the biggest splashes on the course, and will be shown to you on your IPad at the end of the experience.
