Practical information
Take off for a 1-hour dogsled ride near Montreal and round off your activity with a Québécois meal and a visit to the kennel!
- Meet the musher at the Aventures Plein Air base 30 minutes before the start of the ride.
- 10-minute briefing on the activity and how to drive the sled
- Departure for a 1-hour dogsled ride
- 10 to 15 minutes of cuddles and photos with the dogs
- 5 to 10 minute ride to the kennels on a Monster Truck
- Visit the kennels with the musher for 20 to 30 minutes, with mulled wine or hot chocolate to warm you up
- Quebec-style meal in a refuge for 45 minutes to 1 hour (white meat or vegetarian options available)
- 5 to 10 minute descent to the base in a Monster Truck and end of the activity
Minimum driver age: 16
The person driving the sled must be able to stand with their hands on the sled behind the basket and use their foot to brake to slow down the dogs.
Physical ability required: hiking in the mountains with ascents and descents.
Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the activity.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please contact the instructor at least 2 days in advance to select your meal option (regular, pork-free or vegetarian) and let him know if you have any dietary restrictions.
Please let us know if you are significantly overweight.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people.
If you wish, you can hire cold-weather gear (mittens, coat, trousers and boots) on site for an extra $20.
A return shuttle transfer from Montreal to the meeting place is available: the cost is $100 + tax per person (a minimum of 2 people is required for transport).
