Practical information
- Meeting with the team at Marina Taina in Puna'auia
- Board the boat for approximately 4 hours of activity
- Detailed briefing on the outing and safety instructions by the naturalist guides, then equipment (the 3 mm shorty suit provides buoyancy support)
- Depart for a first stop at the Taapuna surf spot, then head for the ocean to snorkel in the deep blue (2 to 3 launches in total, above a maximum depth of 30 metres)
- Return to Marina Taina, disembark and end of the activity
All participants must know how to swim and have previous snorkelling experience (use of fins, mask and snorkel) to take part in this activity.
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
A minimum number of 4 participants is required to run this activity.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant people.
Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Otherwise, please ask your optician if you wish to wear contact lenses during the activity.
People wishing to take part in the outing as a companion, without taking part in the launches, pay the same price as the participants. Exceptions may be made for groups, to be discussed directly with the Tahiti Ocean Explorer instructor.
If you wish, you can hire a private photographer for your activity, at an additional cost of 15,000 xpf (€125): please contact the guide once your booking has been confirmed to arrange this.
