Practical information
For this excursion, you will drive in pairs, one driver and one passenger on the sled. You can switch during the ride.
* Please advise upon booking for any dietary restrictions.
- Arrive at the meeting point in Kilpisjärvi 15 minutes in advance
- Drive to Skibotn Valley (approximately 45 minutes)
- Receive safety briefing and driving lesson
- The dog sledding adventure begins!
- Drive your sled for approximately 1h-1h30
- Return to the kennel
- Enjoy snacks and hot drinks
- Return to Kilpisjärvi (approximately 17:30)
No previous experience is needed, however, participants must be in a reasonable physical condition to help the dogs pull the sled.
In addition, kindly be advised that children must be accompanied by an adult.
* Please arrive at the meeting point in Kilpisjärvi 15 minutes in advance.
* During the Polar Night season (December/early January) the excursion will be conducted with a headlamp as it will be partially dark.
* In addition, please note that the itinerary is subject to change depending on availability. Some groups will start with lunch while others will start with the sled ride and vise-versa.
