Practical information

Course of events

- Meeting with the instructors and check-in at the 'Casa da Montanha'.

- Start of ascent to 1230 metres.

- Arrival at "Piquinho" (2351 metres) at lunch time.

- Time to have lunch and enjoy the views.

- Start of the descent and return to the base.

Activity requirements

Good physical preparation is essential for a successful climb.

Not recommended for people with a sedentary lifestyle.

People with back problems.

People with respiratory issues.

People with recent surgeries.

People afraid of heights.

Pregnant women.



Special terms

In case you have a drone, you must register at ANAC website (Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority).

The mountain lodge may deny access to the nature reserve in case of inappropriate footwear (such as sneakers, sandals, etc.). It is mandatory to wear hiking shoes.
