Practical information
20 minute tandem paragliding flight, with an instructor, over Cape Town. This package has photos and video of the experience included.
- Meet pilot and crew at the meeting point on Signal Hill. There is a car park where you can leave your car.
- Receive safety and activity briefing
- Get equipped with helmets, harnesses with back protection, and reserve parachutes
- Pre-flight checks and pre-launch observations
- Takeoff!
- 20 minutes of flying
- Landing
- Optional vehicle transfer from landing point back to meeting point (R200 per vehicule)
- End of activity
- Participants must be in good health. No need to be particularly sporty.
- Participants must not exceed 120kg (265lb).
- Minimum age: 12 years / 20kg (44lb)
- The exact meeting point (Signal Hill or Lion's Hill) will be confirmed with your instructor after booking.
- No previous paragliding experience necessary.
- Make sure to wear closed shoes (hiking boots or sneakers) and clothes adapted to weather conditions on the day of your flight (warm cloths, wind breaker jacket etc.).
- Minors must have parental authorisation.
- Transportation can be arranged with the instructor for an extra R200.
- Paragliding is subject to weather conditions. Please note that depending on the wind direction and strength, your flight might take off from Signal Hill.
