Practical information

You will have 4 to 5 hours of activity per day.

Course of events

- Meeting at the reception

- Briefing on what to pack for the night. The bags will be brought to the refuge by a member of the team in the evening, so you won't have to carry them on the sled all day.

- Arrival at the refuge around 4 p.m.

- You'll tie the dogs to the line, prepare the food, help with feeding and settle into the chalet. These are huts without water or electricity, and meals are prepared with the guide. After a few drinks and stories by the fire, it's time for bed.

- You'll wake up the next morning with a good breakfast, prepare the sleds and dogs, and set off for a 2nd day of sledding adventure.

- Lunch by the fire again and back to the kennels by 3.30pm.

Activity requirements

Maximum weight: 220 kg per sled.

The activity is accessible to anyone in good physical condition, with no knee or back problems. The activity requires a certain sense of balance, good reflexes and a sustained level of attention. You need to be able to help the dogs up hills, be able to brake with your feet and stand for several hours.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.

Special terms

On arrival, you will be asked to complete a risk waiver form.

On the excursion, there are two of you per sled, and at least one of you must be able to drive the team of 5 to 6 dogs. You can alternate between sitting and driving halfway through the trip, if you wish.

On the trails, you'll follow your guide with his own dog team.
