Join a sporty excursion in the canyon of Val Grande and enjoy the thrills of canyoning in Ticino!

  • 25 meter waterfall called also Little Niagara Falls from the locals (82ft).
  • 3 optional slides and a lot of sliding-rope combinations.
  • 5 optional jumps, some of them you can repeat. Highest jump is 10 meters (32.8ft).
  • 8 abseiling points, longest abseiling point is 25 meter (82ft).
Course of events

Please allow 4 hours in total for this activity, including 2hrs in the Val Grande Canyon.

  • Meet directly in Gordevio.
  • Begin the tour with a leisurely 30-minute climb through the enchanting chestnut woods of the Valle Maggia.
  • Ascend first, and then descend with care at the highest point, utilizing fixed ropes for added safety.
  • After a comprehensive safety briefing, which emphasizes that jumping and sliding are always optional, engage in abseiling training, a test jump, and a fun slide.
  • Proceed to the first abseiling point, preparing you for the highest and most powerful waterfall on the tour.
  • Experience the thrill of navigating Val Grande, with its playful nature, offering slides and jumps amidst breathtaking rocky landscapes and narrow passages.
  • Overcome the last waterfall, and it's just a short distance back to the car.
Activity requirements

Previous canyoning and abseiling experience are advantageous, but not necessary to take part in this excursion.

However, you must have good swimming skills, a good fitness level, and no fear of heights to participate.

A minimum number of 2 participants is required to run this activity.

Special terms

Due to unpredictable weather conditions, your guides reserve the option to change the canyon and start time if necessary.

Contact lenses or glasses are no problem with canyoning. If you wear glasses, please bring glasse cords and a waterproof case to transport the glasses in the canyon, if necessary.
