Book your activity
Practical information
The water temperature ranges from 7 to 13 degrees Celsius, which is cold, but you will be provided with super warm winter 5/4mm wetsuits (and boots, gloves & hood if required).
The times shown when booking may change in order for us to work with the wave conditions. If the time or location of the meeting must be changed, we will contact you.
A minimum of three people are required for group lessons. If fewer than three people have booked for the requested day and time, we will contact you 12 hours before your trip to either rebook to a different time or turn it into a private lesson.
Please keep in mind that private lessons are not free.
- It is beneficial but not required to be able to swim; please let us know when you book if you are unsure. We always keep people at their most comfortable standing depth!
- We won't be affected if it's a little windy or rainy, but if there's a lot of wind or swell, we may have to cancel/postpone. If it is completely flat, we will always try to find a backup location or offer another activity such as stand up paddle boarding. We will provide a full refund if this is not possible, which is extremely unlikely.
- The youngest participant in a surf lesson is four years old! (The smallest wetsuit size is for children aged 4, so if they are particularly small, we may be unable to accommodate them). It is highly recommended that small children have a private lesson or have a parent come in the water to assist- we want them to have the best experience possible.
