Practical information
- Welcome at the center, presentation of the center and the activity
- Distribution of the equipment (fins, mask, snorkel and 4mm shorty wetsuit) before going to the boat
- Briefing on board the boat, away from the sun, and 15 minutes of sailing
- First launch without cetaceans to check that the whole group is ready and to increase the chances of success when the animals are present
- Climb aboard the boat and search for cetaceans (random time, as cetaceans are wild animals)
- Once the cetaceans are found, observation of them to validate or not the launching according to the conditions
- If possible, launch with the instructor to spend 15 minutes in the water at a prescribed distance from the animals
- Return to the boat, and continue the excursion for another launch if the remaining time allows it before returning to the center
- Debriefing on the species encountered during the outing and de-equipping
It is imperative to know how to use fins, mask and snorkel to go snorkeling.
It is also necessary to be comfortable using the snorkeling equipment, but also at the idea of swimming in the middle of the ocean.
A parental authorization will be required for unaccompanied minors.
Activity forbidden to pregnant women.
Please note that dolphins and whales are wild animals, so it is possible not to meet them.
If you are seasick, it is recommended to take a seasickness pill before the activity.
