One of the most beautiful hikes in Table Mountain, this route begins in the Kirstenbosch gardens with its many fynbos. It then takes you through lovely wooded areas, up exciting ladders next to waterfalls, finishing at the white sandy beaches at the top of Table Mountain.
This hike will do a loop from the Kirstenbosch gardens. We follow a cleared path through the densely wooded Skeleton Gorge, before starting uphill. The steep section of this hike is short and equipped with ladders for an easy climb up the smooth rocks. After this short bout of intense elevation gain, we continue our way up more slowly, gaining a total elevation of 900m (3000 feet) above sea level for a beautiful panoramic view over Cape Town.
Hiking on sunny days is very dehydrating. Be sure to bring bottled water with you.
