Practical information

On this excursion, you'll depart from Tromsø and visit a reindeer camp, with reindeer feeding and a hot meal.

Course of events

- Please arrive at the meeting point in Tromsø 15 minutes in advance

- Meet the guide and board the bus

- Bus transfer to the reindeer camp (approximately 25 minutes)

- Arrive at the reindeer camp

- The adventure begins!

- Feed the reindeer

- Test lasso throwing (not on real reindeer)

- Enjoy lunch, hot drinks and snacks inside a lavvu

- Storytelling of Sami culture and a joik performance (traditional Sami
folk song)

- Return drive to the starting point in Tromsø

Activity requirements

Minors are required to have written authorisation from their parents.

Special terms

A locally produced lunch is served in a Sami hut, which is a traditional reindeer stew named 'bidos'. Please specify upon booking if a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal should be prepared instead.

Meeting point:
At the bus terminal at Tromsø Havn Prostneset, Samuel Arnesens Gate 5, 9008, Tromsø, Norway (Spot the guides with the blue jackets) There are two entrances. One is by the buses and one is between the Terminal and the Clarion Edge. The guides will be where the buses are ready to depart to camp.
