Practical information
Full day shark cage diving and whale watching tour, including breakfast and lunch. The shark cage diving will last for around 3 hours in the morning, followed by around 2 hours of whale watching/sealife safari in the afternoon, after lunch.
-Meet guides at Kleinbaai activity base
-Light continental breakfast
-Receive safety and activity briefing
-Get equipped
-Head to Kleinbaai harbour
-Board boat and head to Dwyer Island for 3 hours of cage diving with sharks
-Anchor boat and prepare for shark cage diving
-Get equipped with snorkel gear
-Alternate between cage diving and deck viewing
-Return to shore for a quick lunch
-Drive yourself to Gansbaai harbour to meet whale watching guides
-From Gansbaai harbour, board another boat and head out to De Kelders
-2 hours of whale watching/sealife safari
-Return to harbour
-De-equip and debrief
-End of activity
The minimum age to go in the shark cage is 9 years old.
No previous diving experience is needed, as only snorkel gear is used and not air tanks.
Children under 5 get to go for free, but cannot participate in the shark cage.
Meeting time varies depending on the season.
Guests will be contacted the afternoon prior to the activity with all the tour specifics, including the exact meeting point for the shark diving.
A 100% Whale Sighting Guarantee (8.5%) is included in the price: should the tour fail to find any whales, you will receive a full refund.
