Excursion to Swim with Whales in Moorea

• Welcome at the Moorea Expedition base in Tiahura, in the north-west of the island, or pick-up from your accommodation in Moorea if required (free shuttle service)
• Boarding of the boat with briefing on the activity and safety instructions
• Departure for a 3 to 4-hour excursion, starting with a whale watching session
• Once the whales have been found, observation to determine whether or not it is possible to take to the water, depending on their behaviour and the sea conditions
• If all the conditions are right, those participants who wish to do so can take to the water: a guide will accompany you into the water where you can admire the whales from a distance of 100 metres
• Return to the boat, then a new phase in the search for cetaceans if there is enough time left
• Return to the base, disembarking and end of the activity

Minimum age for snorkelling: 7 years

To get in the water, you must know how to swim, be comfortable in the water and be in good physical condition.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

A minimum number of 4 participants is required to run this activity.

If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend that you take precautions before the outing.

All snorkelling equipment is provided on board the boat, however, the team recommends that you bring your own equipment if possible.

Since wildlife is unpredictable, their presence is never guaranteed.
