Practical information
- Arrival at the meeting point and distribution of equipment (waistcoat, paddle).
- Brief introduction to paddling, handling and safety in a sea kayak by the kayak instructors.
- Start of the kayak excursion. Depending on the weather conditions, one of the following routes will be taken:
Agua Amarga - Punta de la Media Naranja
Las Negras - El Playazo
La Fabriquilla - Arrecife de las Sirenas (Mermaids' Reef)
Los Escullos - Punta de Loma Pelada
San José - Tomate Cove
- During the kayak excursion you will make small stops gradually spaced out to rest and take the opportunity to explain the geological, biological and historical characteristics of your surroundings. In addition, you will enjoy the peculiar shapes of the volcanic cliff coast of Cabo de Gata, visit navigable caves and sail over the volcanic reef barriers.
- Rest halfway to take a swim, hydrate and refresh yourself for the rest of the route and return to the starting point.
All participants must know how to swim.
The definitive meeting point will be indicated by Whatsapp the day before the activity, as it depends on the weather conditions (it is essential that the phone you leave us is with WhatsApp operative). For days with an easterly wind it will be in La Fabriquilla or Agua Amarga. For days with a westerly wind, it will be at Cala del Cuervo in Las Negras or Cala del Embarcadero in Los Escullos.
