Practical information

Skydive Saint-Ghislain uses equipment specially created for a tandem jump. This includes two large parachutes (main canopy and a reserve canopy), as well as a harness that will firmly attach you to your instructor.

The equipment is recent and renewed regularly and created by renowned manufacturers. Most of the gear used is by UPT Vector Sigma®, an absolute reference in the skydiving industry. They are fitted with an automatic activation system called Vigil® that will open up should your main canopy malfunction, keeping you safe no matter what. All skydiving instructors at Skydive Saint-Ghislain have to use this equipment.

Course of events

- At your arrival, you will be welcomed by a friendly team who will explain the steps of your skydive
- You will then be geared up in your jumpsuit an harness
- Accompanied by your instructor you will make your way onto the plane
- You will climb up to an altitude of 4,000 meters which will take approximately 15 minutes
- Then you’ll jump! You’ll free-fall for 50 seconds at which point your instructor will open the parachute
- Now all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the magnificent view of Saint Ghislain from above, close to the French border
- You’ll make a soft landing on the grass of the aerodrome
