This activity takes place in Pyha on the outskirts of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Reached from Rovaniemi by car (1h 45min), Pyha ski resort is considered one of the world's best backcountry locations with a snowshoe trail that runs from Luostonoja to Lampivaara.

A winter trail suitable for most ages and abilities, this 2h 30 min excursion follows the main walking path through the Pyha ski area, navigating 400-year-old pine forests and ancient amethyst mines. After a short safety briefing and kit fitting, follow your guide on a wild yet well-maintained path through the national park - an area of natural beauty famous for its quintessential Lapland landscape, arctic wildlife and, if conditions allow, views of the aurora borealis! During your guided tour, you'll also learn more about the area's rich biodiversity and cultural heritage - from the rolling fells to traditional huts- returning to the activity base for drinks and snacks with team. Conditions
Operating during the winter season from October to March, this backcountry excursion is suitable for anyone of good physical fitness. Please note that the Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.
