Practical information
Course of events
- Meeting with the guide at Raufarhólshellir car park
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions before donning helmets and headlamps
- Short approach walk to the entrance to the lava tunnels
- Guided tour of the Raufarhólshellir lava tunnel lasting around 45 minutes
- Return to the car park to hand in your equipment and complete the activity
Activity requirements
It is very important to wear warm clothing, preferably waterproof, and good hiking boots so that you can enjoy the excursion to the full.
