Practical information
Departing from Planpraz, a plateau located at an altitude of about 2,000 m, the discovery flight in tandem paragliding is ideal to discover the activity gently, in an incredible environment, close to the Mont-Blanc!
Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to fly over the Brevent, Chamonix, and even glaciers. Keep your eyes open, and you might see a chamois or an eagle!
- Meeting with your instructor generally at the bottom of the cable car that allows you to reach the take-off site.
- Preparation of the equipment by the instructor and final checks.
- Installation of the paragliding equipment: harness, helmet
- Global briefing on the course of the flight.
- 15 minutes flight with 1100m difference in altitude!

Meeting point: Please contact Air Sports Chamonix the day before your flight to confirm the meeting point and time in Chamonix.
Times can be adapted according to your weight and weather conditions.
Discovery flights generally take place from Planpraz. If the ski lifts at Planpraz are closed, or if the wind is not right for flying at Planpraz, you can fly from the Plan de l'Aiguille or the Index. In this case, you'll need to pay a supplement of 10 euros on the spot.
You can take the photo + video option. The pilot will take photos and videos during the flight and will give you the SD memory card containing the media after the flight. The cost of this option is 30 euros.
Lift tickets to access the take-off site are not included in the price of the flight (to be paid directly at the lift station).
