Practical information
Snorkelling trip using a drysuit: a suit that will keep you dry and under which you will need to wear warm underwear
- Pick-up from your accommodation in Reykjavík (please contact the guide once your booking has been confirmed to arrange pick-up)
- Drive to the car park reserved for diving and snorkelling providers in Silfra (approx. 50 minutes)
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Distribution of wetsuits and equipment in the van specially designed for changing in comfort and warmth
- Launch with the guide for approximately 30 to 40 minutes of snorkelling
- De-equipping, return of equipment and return trip to Reykjavík (approx. 50 minutes)
Knowing how to swim is compulsory for this activity.
Minimum height: 145 cm (4’9) / Maximum height: 200 cm (6’7)
Minimum weight: 50 kg (99 lbs) / Maximum weight: 120 kg (264 lbs)
A minimum number of 2 participants is required for the pick up to take place.
Please refer to this medical form to see if you are able to join the tour: any "yes" responses to section 2 require the signature of a medical physician to attend the tour.
Once your booking has been confirmed, please contact the instructor to plan the meet-up time and place for your pick-up.
An insurance waver will be signed on site.
Pregnant people cannot participate in this activity.
You cannot wear glasses during the activity: if you have a prescription mask, please bring it with you. If not, we advise you to get contact lenses before joining the guide.
Please note that the exact duration and itinerary of the activity are weather-dependent.
You can rent a GoPro on site for an additional 6,900 kr ISK: you will receive the SD card at the end of the activity.
