Practical information
Discover the basics of survival in a snow-covered environment in peace and quiet under the supervision of a mountain leader.
Program :
Day 1 :
9.15 am: Meeting in Angoustrine, in front of the school (Bus stop CG66 at 1€) - briefing, distribution of material and departure for the first event.
TEST 1: ORIENTATION
Each team, equipped with a walkie-talkie, a compass and a map, will have to go to the bivouac site.
TEST 2: BUILDING SHELTERS
A bundle of hazelnut poles, string and a survival knife to make a shelter for the night, in record time!
TEST 3: FINDING DRINKING WATER
Water, essential for survival in the wilderness, is hidden in the forest. The route is varied
(rocks, trees, gullies...) and strewn with boulders, will you be able to bring water for all to the bivouac?
TEST 4: INSECT HUNTING & wildflowers
Hunt for insects, fungi and edible flowers to complete the evening meal.
TEST 5: STRETCHER & EVACUATION
Each team will have to make a stretcher with the means available on board, so as to evacuate a
"wounded" from the bivouac at the river. Timed.
TEST 6: LIGHTING A FIRE
With the help of a flint, you will have to light a fire. (with a bow for those who have mastered the fire stone)
TEST 7: FINDING the aperitif (beers and sodas)
Basic GPS to locate and find the aperitif drinks
TEST 8: the famous POTAL PROOF!!!! Novelty 2020 !
18.30 : End of the day's tests 1. free time and hot shower (solar)
19h30 : Trapper meal by the fire made together. (Please provide meals or plate in
cardboard/plastic and cutlery). Cooking with wild plants, fungi and insects
22h00 : You will finally be able to snuggle up in the warmth of your survival shelter set up for the occasion.
Day 2 :
8h00 to 9h15 : Wake up and full breakfast.
9h30 : Dismantling of the bivouac and the ephemeral installations.
10.15 am: TEST 9: MANUFACTURING FLECKS with PROPELLER and/or VEGETABLE FIELD
Manufacture of a Polynesian arrow and throwing test with propellant + vegetable string and
bracelets.
11.30 am: Return to the village
12h : End of the activity and swimming in the natural hot springs of Dorres. (41°C)
