Early in 2021, at the height of the worldwide pandemic, the creators of Mega Zipline set out to create an Icelandic attraction that would provide guests with an adrenaline rush and an unparalleled perspective of the breathtaking natural surroundings of the nation.
The project was set up at Hveragerði because of its closeness to Reykjavík and the town's expanding tourist industry, which has made Reykjadalur one of Iceland's most sought-after holiday destinations.
Mega Zipline is owned by companies and individuals who are passionate about creating a world-class attraction in Iceland, each bringing their own extensive experience in Icelandic tourism to the table. The project is led by Hallgrímur Kristinsson, a multi-talented mountaineer and pioneer in Icelandic tourism.
