Escape in Action was born in Crete, our homeland and the “land of canyons”. In these blessed grounds, curved through the ages with more than 400 canyons, we were raised in close relation with the earth.
For the last 7 years, our desire to explore the most hidden parts of Cretan nature took us a step further than hiking. We were looking for an extreme activity, and a way to reach these amazing ecosystems that remain a mystery for most people. That’s how we started our journey in the world of Canyoning, acquiring one after the other all the diplomas needed to take it to a professional level and to ensure maximum safety.
Today, our passion for canyons and our love for Crete and its natural treasures lead us to the ultimate project. Escape in Action represents our dream: to share these amazing treasures with our visitors – to share our passion with you. Follow us to the depths of the Cretan land, for a unique adventure!

Instructors were really friendly but also professional and made sure we were safe. Did not push anyone to do anything they were uncomfortable with.
Die Guides Babara und Nikos waren wirklich Klasse. Sie haben sehr gut Englisch gesprochen und konnten alle Fragen beantworten, man hat sich zu jeder Zeit sicher gefühlt! Man wurde außerdem immer in die Nähe der Spots gebracht, sodass man nicht ungeschützt durch die pralle Sonne laufen musste. Außerdem wurden Fotos von allen gemacht, sodass eine Kamera nicht weiter nötig ist.
Alle waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und können sehr gut motivieren. Ich habe alles in meinem Tempo machen können und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

The instructors were precise, enthusiastic and very skilled. They were very attentive as we were just a pair but also gave us space to enjoy the views and experience the Gorge in our own way.

The instructors were friendly, patient and skilled. They gave good instructions and teach you a few things. They provided wet suits and took some photos, which were provided as a film (MP4) only. But they did not inform us canyoning wasn't possible and that we would only be doing a few rapels/jumps down into the gorge from the wall.
