Located near Zermatt, Switzerland, the Breithorn is a five peak, glaciated mountain ridge that offers beginners the possibility of climbing up its main summit, the little Cervin.

To begin your Swiss alpine adventure, after meeting your guide at the bottom of the Matterhorn Express station, you will then take the cable car to the Klein Matterhorn station to start the high altitude tour, taking the ‘normal route’ up the Breithorn! As you ascend higher and higher, you will have breathtaking views over the Swiss Alps and the magnificent peaks that surround you, giving you the true feeling of being on top of the world!

This guided tour up the ‘normal route’ of the Breithorn can be done throughout the year, during any season. In the winter, the climbing tour is also combined with a ski descent down the Schwarztor and you also have the option to do the tour on cross-country skis or snowshoes for an added unique aspect to this unforgettable experience!

This mountain adventure takes around a half day of climbing and requires no technical expertise but simply strong endurance and acclimisation. Practical information

5 hour guided ascent up 300 meters to the main summit of the Breithorn (4’154 metres above sea level) from the Matterhorn Express Cablecar in Zermatt. This activity is suitable for beginner mountaineers.
