Pontirone canyoning is a trip that you will never forget because of its beauty. It's a must-see attraction in the Ticino canyoning scene.
Pontirone is one of those canyons that many people visit year after year, to be blown away by the sheer beauty of its huge boulders, 45m waterfall with a free hanging abseil, or the deep, carved-out rock formations and funny little technical jumps.
It's near Malvaglia, a small town north of Biasca that already has another cool canyon - Orino. Canyoning in Malvaglia is always spectacular, and the water is nice, fresh, and clean. If you can handle the cold, you can visit these canyons almost all year.
Because the canyon has a relatively closed section, it necessitates a certain level of commitment. People with some experience or athletic beginners should try this. Children as young as 12 can take part if they have prior experience.
