Open to anyone aged 10 and over who can swim, this professionally supervised activity will leave you with some wonderful memories of your stay in the canton of Vaud.
To start your rafting trip down the Sarine, you'll meet your experienced instructor in Château-d'Œx, just a 1-hour drive from Montreux, in the heart of the mountainous landscapes of the Pays d'Enhaut. You'll be provided with high-quality equipment to ensure your safety and comfort during the activity, including a neoprene wetsuit, life jacket and helmet. You will then be transported to the starting point of your rafting trip near Château d'Oex: Gstaad.
Once you arrive at this beautiful ski resort, you'll be given a briefing on the basics of rafting and paddling techniques. When you're ready, it's time to raft down the Sarine! For around 1.5 hours, you'll have to make your way through the white water of this surprising and technical river! The passage through the Vanel and Gérignoz gorges offers spectacular views and will give you the impression of being the first to discover this exceptional and wild stretch of the Sarine!

Practical information
Rafting in the Sarine gorges (Gérignoz and Vanel gorges) from Château d'Oex with class II to III+ rapids.
Please allow 3h30 in total for this activity, including 1h30 to 1h45 on the water.
- Meet your guide in Chateau d'oex in front of the Berceau campsite.
- Get your equipment (make sure you have your swimsuit already on you)
- Transport to departure point (10 minutes)
- Briefing and explanation of the activity
- Descent: approximately 1h30
- Transport back (2 minutes)
- Arrival, change and drinks
All participants must be able to swim and be in good health to take part in this activity.
A minimum of 2 participants is required for the activity to take place.
Pregnant women and people with motor or mental/psychic/cognitive disabilities cannot take part in this activity.
