Located in western Norway, the internationally renowned Trolltunga ('Troll's Tongue') is a distinctive horizontal rock formation that juts 10 metres (33 feet) from the mountain and is situated 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) above sea level. This unique topography, which offers breathtaking views of Lake Ringedalsvatnet and the surrounding mountains of Vestland County in Ullesvang, is a premier destination for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers alike! This remarkable excursion, glamping and hiking to Trollunga is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the wilds of Scandinavia and savour the serenity of nature in all seasons!

Your adventure, hiking to Trolltunga, begins at the meeting point, where you and your group (a maximum of 10 participants) will be greeted by your experienced and friendly guide. After a safety and itinerary briefing, and depending on the weather, you'll receive your hiking poles, snowshoes, or microspikes and pack your gear. Then, you'll board the transfer to the departure point. Now, the fun starts!

This day begins with a trek to some of Norway's most iconic precipices, hiking to Trolltunga. Your experienced guide will take you along the trail to the "needle" view of Trolltunga placing your safety and comfort as a priority. This exclusive spot is only available during guided tours due to the, at times, tricky terrain. You'll be able to take in the spectacular beauty of Trolltunga without stressing about climbing back down before sunset.

After your sporty hike up the mountain, your guide will lead the way off the main trail in the direction of the luxury glamping Arctic domes, where you can leave your belongings for the 3 km (1.8 miles) walk to Trolltunga. Witnessing the mountains of Trolltunga at sunset is such a privilege! At this time of day, the sky over the mountains is saturated with pink and orange hues, a veritable feast for the eyes and a balm for the soul. Your guide will take many photos of you and your group as you enjoy the magnificent views!

The 3 spacious domes are specially designed to be able to take in the views of the Norwegian peaks even when indoors. The ceiling and parts of the walls are see-through, so you will feel like you're outdoors even when lounging in your comfortable bed. Each tent hosts 6 people and is completely equipped with warm sleeping bags, liners, crockery, and cooking utensils. Upon arrival, you will be served a delicious traditional Norwegian dinner under iridescent pink and purple clouds. After an amazing night's sleep, you'll have the option to head to Trolltunga again before breakfast.

Once you've returned to the Arctic domes, you'll be greeted with a hearty meal and serenaded by the soft sounds of the surrounding nature and awe-inspiring vistas. After packing your belongings, it's time to head back to civilization. You'll set off for the return hike to Tyssedal with lifelong memories of glamping and hiking to Trolltunga.

Enjoyed the small group and 'own pace' hike especially since we are over-50 (under 60) age bracket.

The hike is spectacular. The fall colors were breathtaking. There were still blueberries to snack on. Splitting the hike made it so much more pleasurable, and the campsite was comfortable and cozy.
