Tromsø is a vibrant city in Norway, located just north of the Arctic Circle. This snowmobile excursion from Tromsø takes place in the Lyngen Alps, a stunning mountain range in northern Norway known for dramatic peaks, glaciers, and deep fjords.

For the snowmobile excursion in the Lyngen Alps, you can choose to meet directly at the starting point, or be picked up from Tromsø. For the pick-up from Tromsø option, you'll board a bus at the meeting point which takes you to Breivikeidet, a rural gateway to the Lyngen Alps. From there, you'll hop on a ferry as a foot passenger and cross over the scenic Ullsfjord to a small village on the eastern shore, Svensby. Each snowmobile will be shared between two participants, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch during the tour. Then, the snowmobiling adventure in the Lyngen Alps begins!

As you navigate the snowy landscapes, you'll pass a backdrop of sharp, jagged peaks, winding fjords, and icy glaciers.

Great fun. We were lucky and had a really snowy day which made it easier to handle the snowmobiling. Really nice staff and lovely opportunity to sit in the hytte and have hot chocolate. Nice soup served back at the koselig centre.

Very well organised. All equipment necessary (warm clothing etc) was there. Had a nice day. Only small point is that Manawa described the soup as "a hot meal". It was soup with bread. For me that's not a hot meal. But other than that perfect.... And maybe the speed restriction. But if you hear from the instructors that even at lower speed people cause crashes then you can understand why the restriction is there.
