Your adventure begins in Kirkenes, where you will be picked up from either the Thon or Scandic Hotels (please specify when booking). After a 15-minute drive to the Snowhotel, you and your group (a maximum capacity of 20 participants) will gear up in thermal overalls, boots, mittens, and a balaclava. Then, your friendly guide will provide a safety briefing along with an introduction to dog sledding. Now, it's time to meet your furry companions before setting out into the Arctic wilderness.
With your guide driving the dog team, you can sit back in the sled (2 people per sled) and enjoy the view. The journey will cover a total of 10 km (6.2 miles) and pass via frozen fjord and forest. Along the way, while your group stops to rest the huskies, your guide will entertain you will some fascinating local stories. If conditions permit, you may have the opportunity to try driving the dog team. After a fun-filled excursion, you'll return to the Snowhotel for your transfer back to Kirkenes.
