Next, your guide will double-check the equipment and you'll start packing the dog sled. Now for the fun part, you'll meet your energetic team of dogs! The instructor will then provide an introduction to dog sledding and dog sled driving techniques.
With everyone ready, you'll set off into Norway's captivating winter wonderland through the snow-capped forests towards Jotunheimen National Park. After approximately 6 km (3.7 miles), the route starts going uphill for 3 km (1.8 miles). In order to give your dog team a hand, you will have to help them push the sled. Soon the group will be traversing easier terrain and will stop for a well-deserved lunch break around a crackling campfire in Jotunheimen National Park. You'll spend a remarkable night in your cosy insulated sleeping bag in the heart of the picturesque landscapes of Jotunheimen National Park.
