Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is a dreamy scuba diving destination. If you have always dreamt of learning scuba diving, this 3-hour PADI course in Mellieha Bay is the perfect chance. Designed for beginners, this course will teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving immersed in a motivating environment.

Your PADI scuba diving course begins in Mellieha Bay with a briefing about the equipment at the diving centre. Then, you'll have a 30-minute theoretical session where you'll learn how the equipment works and discover the art of breathing underwater. Then, during a 15-minute training dive in the pristine waters in front of the scuba diving centre in Mellieha Bay. Here, you'll have the opportunity to practice the fundamentals under the guidance of your instructor.

A short boat ride along Mellieha Bay will take you to the diving site off the coast. From the boat, you and your instructor will dive into the water and start exploring. As you discover Malta's seabed you'll reach up to 12 m (39 ft) in depth! At the end of this PADI scuba diving course in Mellieha Bay, you'll hop back on the boat and return to the diving centre.

Course of events

- Meet your guide at SeaShell Dive Centre - Triq Il-Marfa, Il-Mellieħa, Malta.
- Registration
- Briefing and equipment.
- 30-minute theoretical lesson.
- 15-minute practice on the shore.
- Boat ride to the diving spot (chosen according to the weather).
- 40-minute dive in Mellieha Bay.
- Return to the meeting point.

Activity requirements

- Knowing how to swim is compulsory.
- Anyone aged under 18 years old must have parental consent to participate in this activity.
- The activity is not suitable for pregnant women.

Special terms

- Please note that from November to April the dive is done from the shore.

Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
