Come and learn or improve your kitesurfing skills in complete safety and serenity in Sakalava Bay in Madagascar with Varatraza Wind Riders!

Enjoy kitesurfing sessions in Sakalava Bay. Its turquoise lagoon and shallow waters make it the ideal place to make your first runs. The waves are regular. The same goes for the wind, powerful and well oriented: the Varatraza. In other words, excellent conditions to allow you to fully enjoy pure sliding sensations!

Varatraza Wind Riders offer you lessons supervised by experts who implement a specific pedagogy designed for you, according to your level and your objectives. They teach you how to assess the weather conditions, understand the notions of the wind window, and how to manage your equipment. The instructors help you to manage the power in order to evolve in safety and to refine your sensations in towed swimming. In the end, you will be able to use your skills to get out of the water and glide in kitesurfing. To top it all off, you will need to be able to pull your first tack and get out of the water at last!

You are autonomous and want to move up a gear, play in the wave and learn how to manage jumps and tricks. Varatraza's instructors will test the equipment as well as your own limits under the watchful eye of your instructor and in VHF contact to ensure your safety.

The spotlight
The spot of Sakalava is located in the very north of Madagascar, close to the bay of Diego Suarez (opposite the bay of Babaomby).

Sakalava Bay covers an area of about 2.2 km² and is protected by a 2 km long coral reef that closes off the lagoon. This allows you to sail safely, with a side-onshore wind that always brings you back to the beach. The swell is regular which makes it an ideal training area for beginners and also for freeriding. The water is warm and turquoise, with a gently sloping launch. For the more experienced, there are easily accessible reef waves.

The program:
- Welcome and presentation over coffee.
- Presentation of the objective of the session and the skills booklet
- Preparation of the material and start of the activity.
- If you choose an activity-oriented towards active, immediate practice: the trainee is equipped with his safety equipment and the wing is entrusted to him. The whole session is done in the presence of the instructor with the classic material handling exercises.
- At the end of the session, technical safety information is given. After the shower you fill in your skills book together.
